Patches was part of a petting zoo at a local pumpkin patch. But when Halloween was over Patches found himself headed for auction. Thankfully a few kind humans intervened and brought him to a local animal shelter who brought him here to us where he will live his life free from harm. Animals are not entertainment. Animals are not holiday decorations. Animals are not disposable. Petting zoos are irresponsible and unethical. Here at the sanctuary Patches is valued for the unique individual who he is not what he can do for humans.
