HELP FUND A NEW FOREVER FARM

We want to update you all about our search for a new farm and how things are going with finding and funding a safe forever home for our sanctuary.

We heartbroken to say that the sale of the farm directly next door to us has closed. The owner would have loved to sell it to us and have us continue on her small sustainable tree business to support the sanctuary while being able to move our current animals to higher ground and save even more lives with acres of more pasture space. But we just could not even come close to raising the funds we would have needed to secure the property and our neighbor went with another buyer.

However the larger and less expensive lot we fell in love with nearby is still available and still very much in consideration. We have been visiting at different times of day and exploring new areas of this lot while we do our due diligence to ensure with the local government and planning departments that we would be able to do everything we want to do with this piece of property so that once we move the animals we never ever have to move them again. And in many ways it would be the PERFECT sanctuary.

But there is one thing holding us back. Because this lot is completely undeveloped raw land it must be paid for in cash. And although it is very affordability priced for such a large amount of acreage it is still far more than we have available to us. We are continuing to fundraise and we have an exciting auction as well as some fun local events coming up. But we would need to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to make this happen and with fundraising down across the board for all nonprofits we fear we will not be able to raise these funds in time and we will lose out on this property as well.

So this is where you all come in. We are hoping to find a supporter or possibly a group of supporters who would be interested in investing in the sanctuary. As a nonprofit we cannot offer you big returns. But as banks do not offer loans for land alone we are asking that any of our followers and supporters who might be in a position to fund a private loan for our sanctuary reach out to us. This would not be a donation. It would be a loan. It would be repaid with interest like any other loan.
