Last night Helbard rushed Sproutie to UC Davis. He was acting a bit off at feeding and with his health history we immediately knew what is was and we didn’t want to take any chances. So we loaded him up to get the very best medical care at the Davis Veterinary Hospital.

Davis confirmed what we feared. Sproutie has another urinary blockage. And this time it is much more severe requiring an invasive and expensive surgery.

Davis also told us something else about Sprout’s health. Sproutie’s bladder and urinary track are both severely damaged from his history of blockages and what they say are just bad genetics. Because of this damage UC Davis let us know that this will be the last time that they will be able to operate on Sprout for this condition. Meaning that the next time Sprout has a blockage it will likely be fatal.

My heart is absolutely shattered. I raised Sprout from a bottle in our home. He is my baby. He is the one who let me know that this sanctuary is capable of miracles when he let me save his life as a young lamb.

And now we are searching for another miracle for Sproutie. UC Davis has given us an estimate of $3500 to get Sproutie through this. We will do anything to save his life. We have already authorized the surgery and treatment plan. Sprout will get the very best care possible to give him the very best chance at a long and happy life. But we need your help to make this happen. With everything we have been through, donations lower than ever, hay prices higher than ever before, we cannot do this without you. Please please help us help Sprout.
