HELP REPAIR STORM DAMAGED ROADS

The sanctuary was hit hard by the recent storms throughout California. We have a long list of essential repairs ahead of us. But we cannot do anything to repair the animal’s pastures and shelters until we restore the roads throughout the sanctuary.

This is not an exciting project but it is absolutely essential to the safety of the animals and functionality of the sanctuary. We currently cannot get any vehicles including trucks, tractors, and other carts from the area where we store all of our feed and medical supplies to the area where the majority of the 100+ animals here at the sanctuary live their lives. Which means that we are carrying all of this by hand.

Every bale of hay. Every 50lb bag of feed. And every dose of medications. All carried on our shoulders. This also means the we cannot get any other supplies or materials to rebuild all of the damages into the sanctuary. These roads are absolutely essential to our daily operations and we cannot continue any longer without them.

We need to purchase yards and yards of drain rock, and then base rock, and top it all off with gravel. This project alone will cost tens of thousands of dollars. But we cannot function as a sanctuary until these roads are restored.

Please help us begin the long process of rebuilding by offsetting the astronomical costs to restore the roads throughout the sanctuary.
