This beautiful boy is a former cockfighting rooster who was found outside alone fending for himself in the wild. He was filthy and emaciated. And he had also been “dubbed” or mutilated signifying that he is a cockfighting escapee. There are very few resources to help former fighter roos like Blueberry and even fewer homes willing and able to adopt them. So we have welcomed Blueberry to the sanctuary. But we need your help. Roosters, especially former fighters like Blueberry, are the most expensive animals to house as they need a safe predator proof enclosure separate from the other roosters at the sanctuary.
